Is hypnosis really effective? What are the benefits of visiting a hypnotherapist? These are just some of the common questions you may ask when you're thinking of going to a hypnotherapist. Other individuals are a bit jumpy about thinking of booking a hypnotherapy session and considering it as a treatment, usually due to the way hypnosis is being shown on mainstream media.

However, if you start to see the benefits of hypnotherapy Adelaide, you get to see the treatment in a different light as well. If you want to know these benefits for you to see hypnotherapy at a different light, here are some of the known benefits:

It’s not something that can control your brain and do things that are out of your control; it’s something that can help lead your life to betterment and enlightenment.

The Basics Behind and the Different Types of Hypnotherapy Treatments

Hypnotherapy is a professional way of conversing with a patient, utilized during hypnosis, which helps avert the patient's imagination in such a way as to bring about intended transformations in sensations, perceptions, feelings, thoughts and behavioral patterns. In a usual hypnotherapy session, the therapist will ask the patient questions about their medical history, overall health and lifestyle. The therapist and the patient will then decide together on what goals and changes should be achieved.
Hypnotherapy can be used in a wide array of medical, dental and psychological problems. Areas of concern include anxiety and stress conditions, weight management, addictive behaviors (smoking, alcohol and substance abuse as primary examples) and confidence problems. Hypnotherapy Adelaide is also utilized to improve performance in other areas such as in sports and in public speaking.

Types of Hypnotherapy

As the patient, you don't need to fully comprehend the various types of hypnotherapy as your therapist aims to ensure that they utilize the best methods to suit you as a person and your particular problems. As every individual is different, results are best obtained by using techniques that each individual will react to.

For your reference, here are some of the basic types of hypnotherapy:

Traditional Hypnosis: In this kind of treatment, the therapist provides direct suggestions to the unconscious mind. This type of hypnosis is effective with those who can fully embrace what they're being told.

Ericksonian Hypnosis: In Ericksonian hypnosis, the therapist will utilize different metaphors to provide the patient with ideas and suggestions to their unconscious minds. This can work well because it helps to remove the resistance to transformation that comes directly from the conscious mind.

When you're talking with your therapists and discuss the problems you want to work on they'll arrange a treatment program with you and thoroughly explain what will happen next. If you want to find out more on other treatments, like hypnotherapy for weight loss or hypnotherapy for easing chronic pain, feel free to ask your therapist for other treatment options. Overall, the effects of hypnotherapy vary depending on the needs of the patient, something may work for one; but it may not work for you.

Learn How to Stop Being Anxious and More: 5 Ways to Thrive, not Just Survive

Many self-help books today present a difference between surviving and thriving – and the thing is, it isn't just self-help authors. The dictionary itself defines both differently. To survive is “to remain alive or in existence”; to thrive means “to grow, flourish, or make steady progress”.

If you've decided that you want to thrive, rather than simply surviving, then good for you. But, beyond learning, say, how to stop being anxious hypnosis Adelaide, what can you do? In what other ways can you live life to the fullest, for you, so you 'flourish'?

1. Nix on the excuses. Do you usually take the easy way out because other options seem too hard, or might take too much time? If you're afraid of failing, that's okay. But, if it means you make excuses not to even try, it's your loss.

In short, don't be afraid to try something new; and if you fail, you can always try again.

2. Cancel anxiety. If you keep worrying, you'll keep seeing the shadows instead of the light. Pondering what might have been and many “what ifs” can keep you from living in the present. Look on the bright side of things, at opportunities instead of obstacles.

3. Look at the long-term. Do you always get food to go because it's more convenient? Or you turn down longer hours at work because you're dead tired and want to rest? The extra pay could have been gone to a 2-week vacation. All that fast food wouldn't have gone to your waistline.

It takes some practice, but soon you'll be able to weigh pros versus cons when it comes to long-term comfort, success, or what have you.

4. Focus on strengths. If you worry too much about your weaknesses, your strengths will slowly get whittled away. Look at the qualities you like about yourself. Acknowledge your weaknesses, but don't make them the reason you won't succeed.

5. Strengthen your mind. Your mind dictates how you see things, so strengthen it so it sees things differently. Hypnotherapy South Australia is one way to help you let go of perceptions that are holding you back instead of pushing you forward.

Depressing Facts & Figures About Smoking That The Tobacco Companies Won’t Tell You

Image from: iclipart.com
An addiction is defined as the unhealthy relationship between substances (such as alcohol, smoking drugs) or behaviors (gambling, porn) where the person uses more than they’d like to use, and continue using despite the harmful consequences. Perhaps smoking should also be defined as an addiction, because once you start smoking, it’s so tough to kick the habit. Here are a few disturbing facts about smoking that the tobacco companies won’t tell you.

A Single Cigarette Stick Contains A Lot Of Terrifying Chemicals

If you look at the studies made by health experts (and even by your local clinical hypnotherapist Adelaide), on the different chemical compounds and ingredients placed into a single cigarette stick, perhaps you’ll be so afraid to light up again. It’s because cigarette smoke contains hydrogen cyanide, radioactive lead, polonium and benzene and others, which are all cancer-causing ingredients.

Second-hand smoke has also been noted to contain more than seventy cancer-causing chemicals, of which eleven are listed as Group 1 carcinogens. The smoke from a burning cigarette also has higher levels of toxins as compared to the smoke exhaled by the individual. And don’t you know that half of the people who have undergone lung cancer surgery recover, and reach for a pack again?

Mental Illness Goes Hand in Hand With Nicotine Addiction

A study conducted by the Indiana University School of Medicine in the US notes that certain types of mental illnesses go in tandem with addiction to nicotine. Just like butter and toast, cigarettes could also go hand in hand with depression, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorders and others.

The average population of smokers all over the world today is between 20 to 25 percent. What’s frightening is that 75 to 90 percent of people who suffer from schizophrenia are smokers, while 70 to 80 percent of patients with bipolar disorder are smokers too.

There’s Technology To Remove Nicotine, But Cigarette Companies Don’t Use It

We all know that nicotine is the main ingredient which makes people get so hooked to smoking. Instead of removing nicotine, what cigarette makers do is increase the nicotine content. They even use advanced techniques to develop new chemical variants and manipulate nicotine levels.

Apart from going cold turkey or using a nicotine patch, another innovative but effective method to help people stop smoking is hypnotherapy South Australia. In a study made by the University of Ohio involving 5,600 participants, male smokers who underwent hypnosis treatment had cessation success rates of 20 to 30 percent, which is a bit higher than other treatment forms. So, join a hypnosis treatment session now, and successfully kick the smoking habit!

3 Great Ways to Make New Year's Resolutions Easier to Keep

Can you still call it a New Year's resolution when it's simply a rehash of what you tried to change about you the previous year? If you simply renew your resolve to achieve a certain goal each year, you're not alone. Many people find it hard to keep their resolutions for longer than a few weeks.

Fortunately, there are ways you can successfully adopt new, more helpful habits, such as sticking with a weight reduction program resolution for a healthy lifestyle. So, keep these in mind, and you'll be setting new goals for yourself when the next year rolls around.

1. Skip the long list.
Having a lot of resolutions – ten or more, for example – gives you a lot of goals to work towards. Instead of motivated, you may soon feel as though you'll never accomplish any of them, so your commitment to each one will slowly die off.

Instead, have 2 or 3 major goals that you believe you can achieve – realistically. A similar principle is used in hypnotherapy and other related practices. Thus, believing something is within reach makes it easier to motivate yourself to get it.

2. Make it meaningful. If finding a significant other isn't high on your list of priorities, you can't very well keep a resolution to find a boyfriend or girlfriend, can you? Likewise, if it's important for you to stay in touch with loved ones, you'll always find a way to do so.

Instead of completely abandoning a resolution that you don't care for, try to reword it so it means something to you. For instance, you don't like the thought of more exercise, but you'd love to fit into the jeans you bought 2 years ago.

3. Break it down. Look at your resolutions and make a list of short-term goals for you to work towards all through the year, to make reaching the long-term goal seem less difficult.

For instance, changing your diet of mostly meat can seem daunting. But, if you aim to eat an additional serving of fruits and vegetables consistently for a month, it'll seem like less work. After all, what's one more apple?

If you need more help, you can form a support group with friends, or simply browse online for, say, tips for a healthy new year Adelaide. Just remember to go slow, so the changes are easier to stick with.

A Short History of Smoking

Smoking is dangerous to your health.

That alone  is a most popular pop culture cum warning cum advertisement precaution in the last century. And probably will span another century with how things are going. Cigarette smoking – in whatever form and face, whether its a high-end rolled, chilled, premium tobacco blend to the measly street cigarette sticks – is a life threat which has a list of adverse health effects spanning the length of an entire college thesis. While popular solutions to smoking, such as complete abandon and gradual cessation exists, those with a more severe case of addiction has to resort to other alternative treatments such as rehabilitation and indulging in some forms of healing yogas and/or a hypnosis product.

Where and when did smoking came to be?

A brief history

Smoking is suspected to have started way way back 5000 BC, and is believed to be a part of shamanistic rituals. These rituals requires an altered state to experience a “transcendental reaction” and smoking substances which induces these kind of reactions are the gateway to achieve the process.

Incense burning by ancient civilisations such as the Egyptians, Chinese, Romans and new-world America may have been the forefront of smoking. While the first presence of smoking was strictly used only for ritualistic activities, the practice may have gone down to becoming a social tool in expression and indulging – a part of social awakening alongside the prevalence of gladiators in Rome, orgies by the Greek and sexual proclivities by the Persians.

Another face of that history was the usage of incense and fumigation as part of healing procedures done mostly on patients who need operations. The presence of incense-healing sticks dates back at least 2000 years ago, and Aztec women are believed to be offered with smoking pipes and flowers before partaking on a feast.

Today, smoking is purely a social and pleasure tool – immortalised in media through various depictions in magazines, movies and the news. While its health card may certainly not be the cleanest, it's viability card is plenty enough to spawn many multi-national brands competing for market domination.

As a respite, modern regulations on tobacco smoking have been internationally mandated, and cigarette product boxes are mandated to show pictures of health consequences alongside the regular packaging. This, with the ever-increasing alternative solutions to quit the practice, for example, hypnosis for weight loss and smoking, paints a brighter picture of how smoking will be on the next century.

Kiss Your Sweet Tooth Goodbye In Time For The Yuletide Season

Image from: iclipart.com
Everyone of us has probably experienced having a strong appetite for sweet food, one time or another in our life. Children and young people are said to be the biggest sector of sweet tooth, but, most of them outgrow their sweet cravings as they mature.

If you have grown older now and still haven't overcome your sweet tooth, there maybe is something wrong. Check out your dietary practices as you may be having the wrong unhealthy eating habits. However, if the problem gets serious and you're intent to live healthy, why not try using a hypnosis product that lets you say goodbye to your sugar addiction?

A recent study done on teenagers reveals that eating a high protein breakfast increased the levels of the brain chemical 'dopamine', the 'feel-good' messenger responsible for regulating food intakes and cravings.

Researchers involved in the study state that if you consume a protein-rich breakfast, you'll have less cravings for food and will less likely to indulge in overeating later during the day. In the same study, the participants were known to have a dramatic reduction in their cravings for sweet food when they were given good breakfasts.

According to experts, one way to ditch your sweet tooth is to totally change your diet, if you possibly can. People who need professional help may need to undergo hypnotherapy Adelaide to help them overcome their addiction to sweets, with conviction and determination.

It is said that among the many reasons why people suffer sweet cravings,  one time or another, can be traced to a lack of 'something' in their diet. Nonetheless, when you eat breakfast that's high in protein, you'll notice a decline in your cravings for high fat foods. On the contrary, if you skip breakfast, you'll notice that such cravings will continue to rise throughout the day.

Often times, people find it difficult to curb their cravings. On this, experts recommend to change  your eating habits, and eat less but, frequently. Doing so will help keep your blood sugar level stable and your body’s need for a swift sugar fix.

Experiment on living sugar-free for at least 3 days and if you can, your cravings will die down. Why? Because your taste buds will make the necessary adjustments. Still, if you can't and all other strategies fail, then it's time you try Hypnotherapy South Australia to end your sweet tooth.

How To Stop Being Shy: 5 Ways to Stand Out in Your Own Way

Some people seem to have it easy when it comes to socialising, giving a speech, and other situations where the spotlight is on them. If you're one of those people, kudos to you! But, what if you're someone who'd rather retreat into a corner when faced with a social event? No need to fret, and even better, you can overcome that shy part of you.

new year resolutions health and wellness Adelaide
Image from: iclipart.com
1. Visualise. Seeing a hypnotist to learn how to stop being shy and hypnosis Adelaide can help you picture yourself as sociable. Is speaking in front of audiences what makes your anxiety and shyness kick into high gear? Then you'll want to see yourself successfully giving a speech.

2. Focus outward. Sometimes, we feel shy or awkward in new situations because we believe people are judging us. The truth is, they're not! Try shifting your focus on something or someone else, instead of yourself. Think of something you can do to make someone's experience at a party, say, one that's more comfortable or enjoyable.

3. Stand tall. Good posture doesn't just help keep your internal organs from getting squashed and promote proper breathing, but it's also good for how you project yourself. Often, a simple change in posture is enough to get you to not just look, but confidence.

It will also make you seem more open and approachable, so people are more likely to come up to you and talk.

4. Figure in triggers. Pinpointing the situations that make you feel awkward can help you learn how to work through them, and eventually overcome these 'triggers'. For example, you feel fine talking to colleagues, but you're all fidgety when talking to your boss. Be as specific as possible, then work out steps to help you handle those situations.

5. Don't compare. Even if you don't get the ball rolling at a party or other social event, you still have strengths someone else may not have. Comparing yourself to the guy who always has a joke to tell won't help you improve your own socialising skills. Instead, keep doing whatever it is you're good at when it comes to conversation.

Whether you see a hypnotist for hypnotherapy South Australia or you go it alone, remember that you can't conquer your shyness in one go. Again, it can be overcome, so be patient as far as results or changes go.

5 Natural Ways to Kick Smoking to the Curb

Habits are hard to break, especially if they're so ingrained that you do them automatically. In the same way, overcoming your addiction to a certain substance is difficult. Saying you'll quit smoking, for instance, is definitely easier said than done. It's a good thing, then, that there are methods that can help make the act easier.

1. Go for the subconscious. No two ways about it; nicotine is a drug, and hypnosis to stop drug addiction Adelaide has shown to be effective. The same can be said of hypnosis for quitting smoking. Seeing a hypnotist can help reinforce your reasons and your resolve to quit, and keep you focused on the benefits of quitting, instead of on the difficulty.

2. Go green. Adding or subtracting foods from your diet can help you wean yourself off of cigarettes – because you don't like the taste. Red meat is at the top of the list of foods that enhance a cigarette's flavour, so cutting down your intake can also help you light up less. Pile fruit and veggies on your plate, and you lower that tendency more.

3. Give cravings the rub. You don't have to go to a spa to experience the benefits of massage. Even just giving yourself a hand massage, or an ear massage, for 2 minutes a day can help keep cravings at bay.

4. Get people in on it. Having people who can back you up and give you advice helps you stay focused and positive. Talk to your doctor about quitting, tell friends and family about your intentions, or join an online support group. Studies have shown that any and all of the above helped increase people's success rates when they kicked the habit.

5. Go for a run. Grind out time on an exercise bike, join an aerobics class, or learn tai chi. Whatever your choice of workout, it helps boost your body's feel-good chemicals and eases tension, so you're less likely to reach for your lighter. Exercise also helps keep you from the weight gain associated with quitting smoking.

There are other natural methods on how to easily quit smoking Adelaide. Well, relatively easily, at least. With any addiction, a multi-pronged and integrated approach works best, so the same goes for overcoming smoking. Find what works for you, and stick with it.

Zany & Creative Ways For Kicking The Smoking Habit

Of the many habits or addictions that are hard to break, smoking is perhaps the toughest to quit. It’s because cigarettes contain nicotine, a highly-addictive substance that’s naturally found in tobacco, that makes it a bit harder than the rest. Nicotine is notorious for quickly going up to the brain once inhaled, and it can induce temporary relaxation, as well as elevate your mood and heart rate.  But once the feeling’s gone, that’s when you start craving for another stick again. If you’ve run out of ideas on how to quit smoking, here are a couple of zany & creative ways on how to kick the habit, forever.

Set A Quit Date
One of the best ways to quit smoking would be to set a QUIT date, and make it look like a contract, where you and a “witness” are to sign it. The witness could be your best friend, brother or sister, or spouse. Once that quit date comes, stop smoking and throw out everything that reminds you of smoking – matches, ashtrays, lighters, cigarette holders, leftover cigarettes and even  magazines that have smoking ads.

Stop Buying Cigarettes By Carton
If you’re thinking of how to easily quit smoking Adelaide, then perhaps if you can’t quit outright, then maybe it would help if you cut smoking one or two sticks at a time. This means that you should stop buying cigarettes by carton, and just buy a pack, and then carry two or three sticks at a time. This should slowly and progressively wean you from the habit.

Always Carry Healthy Snacks With You
If you’re slowly cutting the habit already, and suddenly you crave for an extra stick, it would help if you swing your focus to eating healthy snacks. Bring along with you sunflower seeds, celery or carrot sticks, or even cashew nuts and peanuts. Whenever you feel the urge to light up, pop and chew the nuts, seeds and veggie sticks, so you’ll get busy and forget the urge.

Get Hypnotized
Perhaps one of the most innovative methods for quitting smoking would be to attend a hypnotherapy South Australia session. In a recent study done by Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Texas, of the patients who underwent hypnosis over a two-month period, 40 percent had successfully quit.

A hypnosis product session can be very productive, because each activity will have an impact on the smoker. It’s effectiveness however, will largely depend on the patient’s willingness, as well as the expertise of the hypnotherapy practitioner.

Hypnosis and quit smoking Adelaide advocates say that the other cool alternate methods for quitting smoking include practicing “mindful meditation”. By practicing mindful meditation with a CD, the individual can spend an average of 30 to 45 minutes meditating, and listening to the soothing and motivating messages or thoughts, anywhere and anytime.

3 Vitamins For Weight Loss

How to get slim quickly Adelaide
Image from: iclipart.com
Taking vitamins to induce weight loss may not be the most common way to shed the extra pounds, but certainly it's one that based scientifically.

In a study published on the International Journal of Obesity, popping a vitamin, whether multi or singular, can significantly help in losing body fat in the long-run. The vitamins in question were a generic multivitamin and calcium supplement. Coupled with a hypnosis product, some vitamins can kickstart a fat-burning regimen. And we are talking of legit vitamins here.

The body needs a certain amount of vitamin everyday to keep the body in balance. These vitamins function to boost the immune system, help in hormone production, transmit other vitamins throughout the body and more. The vitamin requirement of a person depends on his stature and weight.  Age is also a consideration.

Vitamin A

Vitamin A is touted as the “eye vitamin”. While Vitamin A's main function in the body is to make the eyes adjust quickly on dim light, it is also a potent immune booster. Vitamin A is mostly found on the liver, and is excreted by the latter to different parts of the body where it is due. These parts commonly include the eyes, the immune system, the gut and occasionally, the skin.

Vitamin A, particularly one of its main components – beta carotene - helps in weight loss through zapping free radicals that roam the system. The more antioxidants present, the more it is likely for the body to reach its maximum fat-burning potential.

Vitamin D

Also called the sun vitamin, Vitamin D is now more than ever put into the spotlight because more and more people are found to have trace amounts of it in their bodies. Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin, and can be naturally acquired through healthy sun bathing. When exposed to the sun, the skin burns the outer layer of fat in our skin, and the process produces the vitamin.

Vitamin D is extremely helpful in immunity and is a powerful antioxidant. It can directly burn excessive fat when needed.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E is the skin vitamin. Its a powerful antioxidant that when paired with vitamin C, becomes a powerhouse of sorts in dealing with free radicals. Hypnotherapy for weight loss for example, uses a representation of vitamin E in the mind as a “vessel to picture out how the body burns fat.”

3 Herbal Cures That Can Knock Out Anxiety Disorders

Of the different mental illnesses and conditions today, anxiety disorders are perhaps the most prevalent. With life's fast-pace phase making many feel nervous and panicky, we often get  anxious every time we face problems at work, or when faced with making crucial decisions. However, if the anxiety impedes or hinders the person’s ability to live a normal life, then this should be a cause for worry. For those who prefer treating anxiety the natural way, here are 3 herbal treatments that have been proven to knock out and beat anxiety.

How to stop being anxious hypnosis Adelaide

The Different Categories Of Anxiety Disorders

Anxiety disorders come in different forms, and have varying degrees of severity. According to mental health and hypnotherapy for depression Adelaide experts, the 4 main categories include panic disorders, social anxiety disorders, specific phobias and generalized anxiety disorders. Those who suffer from panic disorders often encounter feelings of intense terror that come without warning. The symptoms include palpitations, chest pain, a feeling of choking and sweating.

For social anxiety disorders, victims often feel a tidal wave of worrying and self-consciousness with regard to everyday social situations. The extreme fear often centers on the uneasiness of being judged by other people, or the fear of embarrassing themselves in public.

A phobia is described as an overwhelming and intense fear of a specific thing, situation or circumstance, like the fear of snakes, flying or being in cramped spaces. This often causes the person to avoid certain situations or objects. The treatment for phobias and fears varies, with some doctors prescribing medications, while others prefer doing counseling, and some even use innovative methods like hypnotherapy courses Adelaide.

Common Signs & Symptoms Of Anxiety Disorders

The general, and most observed, symptoms of anxiety disorders include insomnia and other sleep problems, a feeling of uneasiness or panic, cold sweats, shortness of breath, palpitations, a dry mouth, dizziness and muscle tension.

Nevertheless, what causes this extreme fear or worry to suddenly come out of nowhere? According to hypnotherapy in Adelaide adherents, anxiety could be the direct or indirect result of a poor family upbringing or character issues and flaws. These could also be due to environmental stress or trauma, and sudden changes in the brain (or problems in the functioning of brain circuits that regulate fear and other emotions).

Herbs & Natural Ingredients That Are Proven To Ward off Anxiety

For those who prefer treating illnesses the natural way, there are actually a lot of herbal or plant-based options to choose from. One of the most popular anti-anxiety herbal treatments is green tea. According to professional botanists, Japanese Buddhist monks have for centuries taken green tea, which gives them the ability to meditate for hours, and still stay alert and focused.

Green tea contains high levels of a compound called L-theanine, which has been noted to lower blood pressure and heart rate, and thus reduce anxiety.  Valerian is also greatly used for treating anxiety attacks. It is however considered a sedative, which is why it’s approved by many doctors for treating insomnia.

Passionflower is an herb that’s been proven to help lessen anxiety symptoms as effectively as the common over-the-counter drugs. It can however cause drowsiness and sleepiness, so do not take it when you’re already taking another prescription sedative.

Lemon balm (Melissa officinalis) has been used for thousands of years to induce sleep, and lessen the symptoms of anxiety and stress. In one recent study, volunteers who were given 600 mg of standardized lemon balm extracts became more relaxed and alert, as compared to those who only took a placebo.

Apart from using these herbal treatments, health & wellness, and even hypnotherapy Adelaide experts, also suggest that you regularly exercise and do Yoga exercises. Yoga’s exercises and breathing techniques (like the 4-7-8 breath method and others) have been noted to effectively lower stress and anxiety, as well as soothe the senses.

5 Surprising Weight Loss Tricks That Work!

The most awaited holiday season is fast approaching, and we all know what to expect – delicious, mouthwatering food on the table! That's why, this season, weight loss tips and advices are also filling in the web. So, get into the hype and burn those calories.

Losing excess weight is not an easy process. Everyone wants to drop pounds the easy way. You're not the only one who's tired of extreme workouts, strict diets, and limited food choices. Fish recipes, hypnosis product, popcorn – better check out these tricks!

1. Relieve bloating. Eating too much of salty foods such as chips, and hot dogs, can make you look and feel puffy. This is because salt retains extra amounts of liquid. Make your own natural diuretic by mixing a half sliced cucumber, ¼ cup parsley and 1 tbsp lemon juice. This can trick your body to let go of excess liquid, making you feel refreshed.

2. Burn fat with fish. Here's a more natural fat-burning supplement, fish and seafoods! Practice adding more salmon, shrimp and other seafood to your meals. This boosts your body's fat burning ability and enhances endurance. It's because of a powerful antioxidant called astaxanthin, which also gives fish and shrimps it's pink colour.

3. Divide and dine. Hypnotherapy experts in Adelaide shares a simple method to trick the mind into eating less and it involves dividing your food into smaller packages. They explained that partitioning food makes you more aware of how much you're consuming. Thus, it prevents you from eating larger portions. Use plastic baggies, and containers.

4. Popping your fat. If you're looking for a new comfort food, go for popcorn. Research revealed that eating the fluffy snack can get you 250 percent more of whole grains and 22 percent more of fibre. Popcorn also prevents blood sugar from spiking and then crashing thus making you feel full for a longer period. Avoid too much butter and salt though.

5. Imagine yourself slim. Snack attacks often happen in the afternoon. To fight it, try to think about what you had for lunch. Remembering what you ate activates your hippocampus. This enhances your decision to say no to consuming extra calories. If you don't have a good memory, jot down everything in your food diary, or take photos of them!

Weight loss methods are no longer centred on exercise (although it's still good for you) and crash diets. There are other natural ways that are safe and effective. Hypnotherapy South Australia is now becoming popular as a means to train the mind into eating less.

3 Surprising Lessons A Musician Can Teach You

A musician's life is not that easy. Struggles are there – putting them down, tempting them to let go, and discouraging them to persevere. It might be easy for you to think that the journey isn't a big deal. Nonetheless, there is truly more to it than meets the eye.

My overweight sister, who currently is in Adelaide to undergo hypnotherapy for weight loss, complimented me last week for being a musician. I just don't know why. She just said that she learned the advantages of being a musician while taking up hypnotherapy courses in Adelaide.

How to stop being scared of flying in planes hypnosis Adelaide
Image from: iclipart.com
Until now, I am puzzled on why she said such as thing. Nevertheless, here are 3 personal lessons that a musician, like me, can teach you:

1. Passionate, Disciplined, Dedicated, and Focused

Mastering an instrument never happens over night! Hence, musicians remain faithful to their instrument and are able to take the long haul (whatever happens!). However, if you think practising an instrument is always fun, you're wrong. The truth is, there are times that musicians still practice even on days when they're not feeling well.

What pushes them? Their passion and dedication. It's believing that all the hard work will pay off someday!

2. Being in a team or a group is more powerful than being alone

Truth be told, “No man is an island.” This concept has been proven by numerous individuals, musicians or not. Musicians know that they need a group or somebody that can teach them to become “great”. They simply know that the world they're living with is tough and sometimes unfavourable hence the need of another.

3. Don't be afraid to err! Let go of past mistakes and move on

Musical artists know how to let go of past mistakes and still keep on playing. Of course, they hate it; that's why  they opt to forget and learn from them instead.

If they commit error in the middle of a show, the music must go on, regardless! This too then applies to life in general. It's like letting go of the moment, then reviewing what happened to avoid any unfaithful circumstances in the future.

Nevertheless, they still love to take a risk and aren't afraid to commit mistakes especially if it aims to boost their knowledge, skills, and musical repertoire.

Masturbation Addiction – Can It Be Overcome?

Sex experts always have this to say, “masturbation is as normal as brushing your teeth; men and women do it all the time”. To many, this may sound normal but, if it gets in the way of your living a normal life, then it may be bad after all.

Like Other Addictions, Masturbation Becomes A Problem

Further, excessive self pleasuring can leave you feeling tired and washed out. True, it satisfies your want but only for temporary periods of time. You will be wrapped in a situation where you will be compelled to do it the next time around, over and over again. Then, it starts to take over your life. There will come a time when you will feel the need to stop what you are doing. It would be like looking for the 'fix' when you're addicted to drugs.

People may not know it but, they get hooked into unconsciously fondling themselves as their way to fix their feelings of boredom, stress, low self esteem, or extreme loneliness. Yes, masturbation could be their way to escape reality.

What's Real?
